Barbie Series: Even the brunettes were offended

My whole life I’ve lugged around a cardboard box that once housed a Barbie outfit. On the back of the box were images for all the other outfits one might opt to purchase. What a time it was! Most Barbies back then were blonde, and the outfit names where things like, “Beau and Arrow” or “Career Girl”. After rearranging, cutting, and sewing back together novelty fabrics, I created and built stories around the outfits, depicting things I either considered or experienced through the many years forward as a woman.
